William heads the Banking and Finance practice at AF Mpanga. He has over 20 years PQE in Banking and Finance Law and practice. He has advised on numerous transactions in Project Finance, Banking and Finance, banking regulatory, syndicated lending, mergers and corporate acquisitions, capital markets and corporate advisory work. In addition to advisory work, he has been a lead counsel in various big ticket banking litigation disputes acting for several banking clients with a proven track record of success. He is a licensed insolvency practitioner with experience in restructuring and re-organizations, liquidations and asset disposals. recovery and insolvency.

William has significant experience in law firm Management having served as the managing partner of the firm for nine years until 2019 where he oversaw a tremendous growth in the business success of the firm. He has leadership experience in corporate governance having served as board secretary and director on a number of boards in the financial sector and currently as chairman of the board of a regulated institution in the financial sector.
