Vanessa Irene Mbekeka Muneeza is a Senior Associate at AF Mpanga Advocates and an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda. She is a member of both the Uganda Law Society and the East African Law Society.
She holds a Certified Tax Advisor qualification from the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda and an Advanced Diploma in International Taxation from the Chartered Institute of Taxation (UK).
Vanessa is a specialized tax practitioner with over seven years’ experience advising both local and multinational clients on complex tax matters, with a focus on corporate and international tax advisory, tax dispute resolution, transfer pricing, tax exemptions and regulatory compliance.
She has extensive experience supporting multinational corporations, financial institutions, and high-growth enterprises on cross-border structuring, the application of double tax agreements, and managing tax risk in evolving fiscal environments.
She regularly represents clients in tax audits, objections, and appeals before the Tax Appeals Tribunal and the High Court of Uganda.
Vanessa is also actively engaged in policy and thought leadership through her membership in Tax Hub Uganda, where she contributes to discussions on tax reform, fiscal policy, and emerging issues in taxation.
