Brian Kalule is a Partner at AF Mpanga and heads the Technology Media and Telecoms (TMT) and Intellectual Property Practice. He is a leading technology lawyer in Uganda and handles the firm’s TMT legal and regulatory aspects for both local and international clients. He also co-heads the Banking and Finance practice. Brian also handles General Commercial Litigation and disputes. His experience spans over a period of 15 years.
Brian is a leader in the FinTech space where he advises the Financial Technology Services Providers Association (FITSPA), an independent association representing Uganda’s local and global fintech community. He regularly appears in Parliament to discuss laws affecting industry.
Brian is an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda. He is a member of the International Bar Association, a member of the East Africa Law Society. He is a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA). He is also a member of the international Association of Privacy Professionals. Brian has also acted as Deputy Judge at the Commercial Court of Uganda and is currently the Chairperson of the legal committee of the Uganda Bankers Association.
