Judith Kagere is an Associate in the Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) Practice at AF Mpanga Advocates, with strong expertise in data protection, privacy law, and regulatory compliance. She holds an LL.M from the University of Dundee (UK) and is an Advocate of the High Court. She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) as well as a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), Uganda Chapter.
With over seven years focused experience in intellectual property and technology, Judith holds a strong grasp of data protection law and application and ability to translate complex regulatory obligations into practical, business-aligned solutions. WIPO Academy trained practitioner, she plays a key role in AF Mpanga’s IP rights advisory and enforcement portfolio. She routinely advises clients on IP rights and proceedings before the Registrar; both from application and defence standpoints.
She has successfully coordinated counterfeit raids and enforcement operations with Uganda’s IP Registry and maintains key relationships with partner law firms to support cross-border protection.
