Derrick Kuteesa

Derrick joined the firm in 2016 having completed his post graduate diploma in legal practice at Law Development Centre.

His practice involves a broad range of commercial advisory and transaction advice particularly in corporate M&A, Energy, cross-border corporate and commercial law. He is a member of the corporate department of the firm where he specializes in Energy, Mergers & Acquisition, banking and finance, cross-border transactional, legal and regulatory advice for both listed and non-listed companies seeking business opportunities in East Africa, Foreign Direct Investment advisory, Litigation, insolvency and restructuring.

He regularly advises on financial institutions law and advises several companies on a varied range of corporate commercial matters. Derrick holds an LLB (Hons) degree from Nkumba University and a Post graduate diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre. Derrick is a member of the Uganda Law Society and the East African Law Society.
